Creating my Digital Literacy Snapshot was a reflective and rewarding process. It allowed me to take a step back and critically examine how different digital platforms have influenced my personal and social growth over the years. My journey started with foundational tools like Hotmail, which introduced me to the concept of asynchronous communication and taught me the etiquette of professional and personal interactions in the digital world. This was followed by platforms like MSN Messenger and ICQ, where real-time conversations with friends shaped my understanding of online socializing and introduced me to the power of digital connection. As I transitioned to platforms like Facebook, I learned how to curate a digital identity, balancing self-expression with privacy concerns. Instagram and TikTok later became spaces for creative exploration, allowing me to experiment with visual storytelling, short-form videos, and engaging with global trends. Through these experiences, I realized that digital literacy is not just about technical skills but also about understanding how to use these platforms meaningfully to connect, express, and grow. These varied interactions collectively shaped my digital identity, giving me the confidence to navigate the ever-evolving online landscape.

In the process of creating my video, I incorporated some AI elements, such as using AI-generated voice instead of my own for the narration. This not only made the narration smoother but also gave me a hands-on experience with the convenience and versatility of AI tools. However, I encountered some technical difficulties, like being unable to remove the watermark from certain editing software, which was frustrating. Now I know the importance of choosing the right tools and platforms for creative projects. From selecting visual elements to adding background music, this multimodal creation process helped me understand how different elements can work together to make a narrative more engaging.
