In this video, I’ll share my digital journey as a “wall-breaker” — from sneaking around on QQ and forums as a kid to using a VPN for Instagram and Twitter, and finally witnessing the culture communication when “TikTok refugees” poured into Xiaohongshu. This “wall-breaking” is more than hopping over firewalls. It is about bridging gaps between people, connecting with the world, and staying clear-headed in the sea of information.
Interestingly, my experiences building digital literacy are intertwined with my real life. These moments shaped how I think about digital identity and truly influenced my personal growth. I guess many people share similar feelings, which might explain why “web core” resonates so strongly with some young hearts.
This is my digital identity story, and I hope it sparks new ideas for you. Share your own digital journey in the comments, and let’s be “wall-breakers” together!
Hi Anyi!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your video skills blew me away! It is so well put together, and all the visuals really enhanced the experience! It was also really neat seeing all the different platforms you used, as a lot of them were new to me. Wall-breaker is a great keyword, and your reflection and video prove how important being a wall-breaker can be. Thanks for a wonderful and engaging watch!
