Explore identity through AI generated selfie - Shen

         second prompt

      1. The experience of using AI for self-representation.

I used Deevid AI.

Person identity:
 Emperor Kangxi

I tried to mesh myself with the Qing dynasty emperor Kangxi since he is an emperor with tremendous passion for ethical governance. He rarely travels outside of the forbidden city and Kangxi is an idealistic portrayal of an ethical emperor.

  1. The types of prompts used and how they influenced the final image.

I uploaded the emperor then me.

  1. Whether the AI-generated selfie aligns with their self-perception and why.

I generated two prompts. The first prompt mostly looks like me and the second one is more of a mash between the two with me at the top. I like the second prompt since I look more sincere.

In conclusion, I want to explore issues in intersecting identities with online movements. (Liu, pg.72:3) As online platforms become widely used for cultural movements due to their ease of access, broad reach, mobilization support, and spread of information. (Liu, pg.72:4) This identity could influence some viewers due to the reason that this is a senstive topic to some due to political warfare. There was an online han clothing movement for two decades and it was a debate whether qing dynasty was counted as chinese history. But with this image, I tried to seek an identity with confusing thoughts. (Liu, pg.72:2)
