Module Mini-Assignments (Digital Literacy Snapshot, AI Tool, Fact Checking, Reflection on Ephemeral Narratives, Reflecting on Indigenous Storytelling in the Digital Space, etc.) - X2
In this course, I have designed a series of Module mini-assignments to enhance your understanding and application of new media narratives. These assignments, including Digital Literacy Snapshot, AI Tool, Fact Checking, Reflection on Ephemeral Narratives, Reflecting on Indigenous Storytelling in the Digital Space, are tailored to expand your practical skills and theoretical knowledge in a dynamic and interactive way. Each mini-assignment focuses on a different aspect of new media, encouraging you to engage creatively and critically with the course material. These activities are not only meant to foster a deeper understanding of the course content but also to enhance your digital literacy and transliteracy skills in diverse media platforms.
NOTE: This rubric is designed to uniformly evaluate all Module Mini-Assignments in the course. Each criterion assesses the collective performance across these assignments, providing an aggregate score that reflects your overall engagement and proficiency in these tasks.
To submit, each mini-assignment will have its own submission process (it could be on the blog, an email, via e-Class), but at the end of term I will ask that you submit a Word document with links to each of your TWO mini-assignments.
Note about Mini-Assignments
Mini-assignments exist to help you practice critical thinking in small, focused bursts. They are not “extras.” They are where you test ideas before committing to larger projects. You might choose mini-assignments that align with your interests, certain modules, or help you grapple with a larger assignment.
You must complete and submit TWO mini-assignments across the course.
Notify me before your submission which mini-assignments you are completing.
