This assignment required me to really evaluate my digital literacy journey, from where I started to where I am today. I really needed to edit myself down and select the digital platforms and experiences that have really stood out to me to make sure I could make the video between 3 - 7 minutes. I created my video in Canva and I had some fun looking around for images of the platforms of my time. For my intro and outro, I tried to emulate the experience of earlier forms of technology, such as the AOL Online dial up and Windows XP shutdown experiences. While creating my video, I focused on using the Canva app to record my voice, however I chose not to record any video of myself speaking. Instead, I used stock images and videos from Canva, as well as additional images that I sourced online. The images and audio that I sourced are listed in my resources below. This assignment brought up a lot of nostalgia for me, so I hope that I was able to emulate that for folks who have had a similar digital literacy journey.
